Resolute Salutes a Fallen Player

It’s with a heavy heart and a more somber attitude then usual that I join you tonight. When I heard the news late last night that Azazel had left us to move on to his next adventure, I was speechless. I am still in shock. But I’d like to take a moment to reflect on our time together, for which I am ever thankful. Azazel was the embodiment of Resolute culture. Quick to offer a helping hand, or crack a joke in group. He was the perfect raider in my opinion. He listened intently, asked questions when he had them, and fell into a rhythm as we tackled encounter after encounter, always with a positive attitude and a smile in his voice. You will notice the empty spot in group 8 tonight, Azazel’s spot for the last 3 or so years. Out of respect for our friend, I will not ask anyone to fill the unfillable void left behind. I encourage you all to share stories of your times with Azazel, and remember them fondly, as I am sure he would have wanted you to. I would like to take a moment of silence as we begin the raid to remember Azazel, friend, family, guildie, Resolute.

The Triunity Tests our Sanity

Welcome to the era of raid currency, open zones from the start, new Guild halls, needing small groups just to take down group named and more difficult raid mechanics. Some would consider this modern EQ. The fifth Renaissance in many ways.

The devs responsible for designing the raids this expansion can go straight to hell. These were some of the hardest raid fights we have ever faced, most requiring extensive personal responsibility. We are now getting to the eras where not all the raid info is easily found online. Even so, Resolute being Resolute, beat the expansion within a month, maintaining our spouse friendly schedule of three set raid nights a week.

Well done team! A victory well earned. Looking forward to RoF!

The First Creation Castration

Underfoot has by far been the most challenging expansion we have faced, but it has also been the most rewarding!

The devs enabled double loot and flags which allowed us to clear all of Underfoot in a little over a month.

This expansion brought many new cool toys/functionality to the table, one of them being the extended target window. EQ has in many ways entered its second renaissance.

This is an amazing EQ victory. Well done team!

Brekt Gets Rekt!

Resolute steamrolls through another TLP expansion!

We completed SoD in about 2.5 weeks, sticking to our normal spouse friendly schedule.

SoD had been a loot pinata! With the plethora of standard raids, hard modes and OMM, we have been swimming in loot.

With the addition of amazing group loot for alts, OMM missions/raids and mercenary’s, EQ has in many ways has entered its second renaissance.

While its sad to see monks starting to fall behind in DPS, its been amazing to watch Berserkers starting to break through to the next level, getting peaks and foreshadows of true ultra instinct.

The guild is stronger than it has ever been, and we all look forward to continued success in Underfoot.

Well done Team!

The Sleeper Sleeps Again

Resolute is not caught sleeping; Kerafyrm goes down for a dirt nap!

With a full 54 man raid we entered Cyrstallos, and in true Resolute fashion, laid waste to every encounter with zero wipes.  We ended up completing this expac in about 3.5 weeks, sticking to our normal spouse friendly schedule.

The guild is stronger than it has ever been, and we all look forward to continued success in SoD.

Well done Team!

Resolute Sets the Sun on Fire

Resolute completes The Buried Sea in four days!

Without skipping a beat the guild came together and knocked out the required faction/quests to enter Solteris.   Resolute conquered Solteris on one raid night and finally (maybe?) put Mayong out of his misery.

The Fall of Dragons and Giants

Resolute shatters The Serpent’s Spine in 9 days!

After a collective effort to achieve level 75 and grind faction, Resolute conquered both Ashengate and Frostcrypt, putting an end to the reign of Lethar the Black Dragon and Beltron the Shade King.

Death Bells for Ayonae Ro

Resolute completes the Prophecy of Ro in 1.5 weeks!

After an amazing collective effort by the all of the guilds that farmed progression key components, Resolute conquered the Tower of Dissonance with no extra raid days added to our schedule.

Among our spoils was the chilling Ghostrider’s Bridle.  Congratulations to Loven for becoming one of (if not the) first owner of this mount on the server!

With both Deathknell and Demiplane on farm, we are very much looking forward to delving into The Serpent’s Spine expansion in May!
